Always check discounted fares with bereavement fares. Fares may be very different, depending on your particular needs. If your plans are uncertain, it may be worth paying a higher price for fewer restrictions and lower costs in the end. Shop around between different airlines. If you need a hotel and/or rental car, be sure to check those packaged rates too. If thinking about using miles, shop around still.
** Immediate family is usually considered a spouse; parent; child; sibling; grandparent; grandchild, and all great, step, half, adoptive and in-law variation; natural aunt, uncle, cousin, niece and nephew; and may include domestic partners. Also, clergy is sometimes able to purchase bereavement fares. |
