Albert "Al" Beni died December 26, 2012. He was 81 years old. Al was a long-time resident of Bloomfield Hills, MI, a life-member of Red Run Golf Club, and a member of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Al was born April 30, 1931 in Lewisburg, KY to Aly and Onie Beni. Al and his family moved to Pontiac, MI when he was 5 years old. He graduated from Clarkston High School, and earned a Bachelor's of Engineering degree from Lawrence Tech.
Al used his engineering degree to become a mechanical engineer. He worked as a manufacturer's rep for Fisher Body before he founded his own company, Beni and Associates. He retired from Beni and Associates in 2002.
Al was very devoted to his business and family. Outside of work, he was a 'car buff'. He collected antique cars, and had them restored. He also enjoyed reading, and watching football. Al was a very intelligent man, and a proud member of MENSA. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, and his many 'Beni-isms'.
Al was the beloved husband of Nancy for almost 50 years. Loving father of Heather Kimball (Bruce), Mike (Kim), Laura Fergle (Don) and Lisa Hoban (Kevin). Devoted grandfather of Molly and Alex Beni, Matt and Danny Fergle, Jenna and Ryan Hoban, and John Pettibone. Brother of David and Evonne Casser (John).
