Donald Ernest Conley, 60, of Bloomfield Township, Michigan, and husband of Darcy for 34 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
He was a fun loving man who was always doing things and having fun. He "played well". Whether he was golfing, skiing, canoeing, rafting, playing guitar, the bag pipes, the piano, racquetball, or bowling with his best buddies at the Detroit Athletic Club, where he has been a member for many years, Donald was all about enjoying life and those around him.
He was raised in Royal Oak and graduated from Dondero High School before getting his law degree from Wayne State University. His practice brought him from Detroit for many years, to Bloomfield Hills and eventually to Birmingham at McDonnell & Conley, P.C. His bright smile and charismatic ways made him many friends and he was well respected and well liked by all who knew him.
In his free time, he loved his sports cars, driving fast, watching Lions football, celebrating being Irish at St. Paddy's Day parades, Duggan's, but most of all he enjoyed his family, especially his grandson Alex. He enjoyed teaching Alex many things, including poker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Darcy, a son, Ryan Enders (Michele) and his grandson, Alex Enders. He is also survived by his mother, Wilma Conley Maille and a brother, Ken Conley.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 19, 2013, from 12noon to 3:00pm at A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) 32515 Woodward Ave. (between 13-14 Mile).
