Dr. Dorothy Markey was a 1946 graduate of Loyola University. She married Dr. Frank Markey in 1951 and in 1973 the family moved from Detroit to Birmingham.
Dorothy loved animals, cooking and spending time with her family. She and her husband also loved to travel.
Beloved wife of the late Dr. Frank R. for 53 years. Dear mother of Tanya Gold (Gary), Christine Parcells (Jeff), Micheline, Marcia, Michael and the late Peter and Steven. Grandmother of Rebecca Mellem (Adam), Natalie Dosch (Jordan), Elliott Parcells and Graham Parcells. Great grandmother of Aidan Mellem and Camden Dosch.
Funeral Mass Monday 10a.m. at Holy Name Church, 630 Harmon at Woodland, Birmingham. Visitation at church begins at 9a.m.
