Passed away peacefully at his home in Farmington Hills, MI with his loving family at his side on Monday July 9th. Born & raised in Detroit, MI July 22, 1925 to Helen and Vincent Gumbleton.
World War II Veteran, Certified Public Accountant, Partner at Purdy, Donovan & Beal, Plante Moran.
Married to Marian Knechtges on August 16, 1952--"his love for her was a 1, 000 percent".
Survived by his wife & seven children, Gerrard Jr. (Rosanne), Michael (Becky), Timothy (Amy), Thomas (Valerie), Peter (Carrie), William (Jeanne), Mary Clare (Jaime) and 14 grandchildren.
Brother of Loretta, Sr. Irene IHM, Bishop Thomas, James, Daniel and the late Vincent Jr., Raymond, John.
Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile) Wednesday 3:00-9:00pm.
Memorial Mass Thursday, 11:00am at Church of St. Owen, 6869 Franklin Rd., Bloomfield Hills.
